About HOPE
During the school year we meet for twelve Fridays during the Fall Term and another twelve during the Winter Term (Calendar). The first class begins at 9:00am and the student body meets together for Announcements and a time of Worship at 10:00am. Lunch is at 12:30pm and the 4th hour classes begin at 1:30pm. Several class do continue through the optional 5th hour that meets from 1:30pm-3:25pm.(These will be noted in the class descriptions.)
HOPE Co-op is a parent led homeschool co-op. Utilizing the gifts and passions of our parents allows us to offer a wide variety of classes to our children year after year. Our parents serve in various capacities (teaching, assisting, monitoring, lunch hour, and other service areas) each Friday. Since our parents play such a vital role in making our co-op a sucess, we do ask that families commit to at least the first three hours each week. We offer an optional 4th hour class for those wish to stay the full day. While co-op does not replace the role of parent as teacher at home, you will find that our selection of courses compliment your current home studies.
If this is your first year to join HOPE, we ask that you spend this first year getting acclimated with our group. Since we are a parent led co-op, we suggest serving in capacities such as assisting in a class, monitoring the hallways, assisting children to their classes or other general service areas. After your first year, you may feel more confident and ready jump into a lead teaching role and would suggest that attend a Planning Meeting to see where your gifts can best be utilized.
Costs:
Registration Fee: $10/per family (Annually)
Monthly Fee: $10 (1-2 kids) $20 (3 or more kids)
